The Issue Of Consent

This contains spoilers for the Noscaryn species and their stories.

With these stories, I started with the element of "what is the worst and how can it be good" and came up with Noscaryns, a species whose courtship violates more than one law.

For my blue boys with blue balls, their cultural standard of courtship is violent, to the point that they have to be educated on how to interact with human women in an appropriate manner. For those of you who have read a story with a Noscaryn in it, you probably already have caught on to what I'm doing with these fellows. The goal, other than the enjoyment of flirting with the line, is to showcase how all needs and expectations can be met through open and clear communication.

By writing a species that quite literally proves their worth as males by pure sexual dominance, and then showing how that can work out great in a relationship, I'm showcasing what we already know. There is no excuse for violence. Every person with a kink has a way to explore that in a safe and consensual way, they just have to find the right person who wants to go there with them.

There is no excuse, no scenario in which SA it is ever okay. The only person at fault is the perpetrator.

Enjoying dominance based romance and dubious consent is not the desire to be with the kind of pathetic person who would perpetrate it. It is the desire to be with someone who is so in tune with themselves that they are able to give the FMC exactly what they want without having to ask for every detail of it.

These stories with the Noscaryn, filled with what I label "dubious" consent and have clear violence, are a bait and switch. If you read enough of them, you'll find the thread where I flip the script. The Noscaryn males have far more in common with human women and their gender based fears than you would initially assume given their aggressive nature.
