Drawing the Space Cruise

If you weren’t aware by this point, I draw my own covers for my sci-fi shorts because I write them quickly and I really love drawing. I used to go to festivals (and underground airplane-hangar artsy-fartsy parties) for free in exchange for live painting at the event. Transitioning from painting with acrylics to making book covers on a tablet has been a fun journey, one I’m taking with my friend since birth who does my romantasy covers.

This was my attempt at drawing out the background of the parkour play exercise space on the Space Cruise for Who Did This to You?. It came out a bit odd, so I put it in a poll in my newsletter and my lovely readers chose stars as the background instead of this.

I’m determined to get better at them. I’ll know I’ve made it when my newsletter chooses the detailed background over just stars. :D
